When the impact factor doesn't matter so much
Average number of citations is not the most important criterion to support guidelines doctors in Germany, study suggests.
Researchers from the University of Göttingen show that the two magazines with most cited articles in the 70 medical guidelines analyzed, from the years 2017 and 2018, have a factor much lower impact than publications considered high impact.
